Kadima's Hasson to head Israel Antiquities Authority

Culture and Sport Minister Limor Livnat authorized MK Yisrael Hasson (Kadima) as the next Israel Antiquities Authority director-general.
Hasson, a former Shin Bet deputy director, will have to resign from the Knesset to take the job. Former Kadima MK Ronit Tirosh will replace him, as the next two people on the list, Israel Democracy Institute chairman Yohanan Plesner and Ra'anana Mayor Ze'ev Bielsky, do not wish return the Knesset.
Livnat said that she believes Hasson's "talents and special background, along with his vast managerial experience will help him do well  in the important job of IAA director-general and promote the authority and development of archeological research of the Land of Israel and Jerusalem."
