Kerry cautions against 'jumping to conclusions' on Iran nuclear deal

US Secretary of State John Kerry sent a message to Israel and other detractors of the impending interim deal with Iran, cautioning against "jumping to conclusions or believing premature reports or prejudging outcomes."

In a press conference in Geneva following the closing of the nuclear talks with Tehran, Kerry defended the importance of the short-term deal to reaching a permanent agreement.

"People need to stop and think about what happens each day now that you don’t have an agreement. Each day that you don’t have an agreement, Iran will continue to enrich, and Iran will continue to put centrifuges in, and Iran will continue its program," he said, stressing that the interim deal is meant freeze Tehran's nuclear program to allow more time for "the real negotiation."
