Knesset committees expand membership

The Knesset Economics Committee, Education Committee, and Urban Renewal Committee will each have two more members, the Knesset House Committee decided Monday.
The change came after several new lawmakers were sworn in and there was no room for them on the various committees. Coalition chairman David Bitan (Likud) also hopes to establish two new committees, one to help Holocaust survivors and another for "distributive justice" that would ensure government resources go to the periphery.
