Knesset c'tee approves 5% cut in PM, ministers' salaries

The Knesset's Finance Committee on Monday unanimously approved Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz's proposal to temporarily cut five percent from government members' monthly salaries, including the prime minister's. The change will be implemented as of August 1. Following the decision, the premier's monthly wages will decrease from NIS 41,055.29 to NIS 39,172.94, while other ministers will be paid NIS 35,244.69 instead of NIS 36,920.29
