Knock on the Door cancer campaign begins

Knock on the Door cancer

Thousands of teenagers and other volunteers will knock on the doors of homes around the country on Monday to collect contributions for the Israel Cancer Association, a voluntary organization that functions solely on donations rather than on government funding. Established in 1952, the ICA funds cancer research, educates the public and promotes awareness of the disease, purchases advanced equipment, provides support for and services to recovering patients, runs summer camps and finances the hiring of nurses and social workers in hospitals around the country.
