Labor MK: Facebook doesn't care about the Israeli public

Labor MK Revital Swid slammed Facebook on Wednesday saying that "Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg don't care about the Israeli public."

Swid said that Facebook is "playing an unfair game" and that it is "knowingly leaves Israeli democracy open to election-time manipulations by foreign powers."

Facebook, she said, has an application that allows UK and US users to know who is paying for the ads they are seeing when they use the social network yet, Swid pointed out, the social media giant ignored her request to install that option in Israel.

Swid said that "Facebook is turning Israel into a second-rate democracy."
