Histadrut chairman Ofer Eini threw his support behind Labor leadership candidate Shelly Yacimovich, Israel Radio reported Monday. Eini said Yacimovich was committed to workers' rights. Eini's support came after MK Avishay Braverman on Sunday announced his endorsement of Yacimovich after four of Labor's eight lawmakers sided with her rival MK Amir Peretz.
