Lapid: Admitting we attacked in Syria is terribly irresponsible

Leader of the Yesh Atid party MK Yair Lapid criticized Prime Minister's Benjamin Netanyahu decision to publicly take credit for the Israeli strikes in Syria in an interview to channel 13 on Monday.

"Removing the screen of ambiguity, with the Prime Minister admitting we attacked in Syria is terribly irresponsible," Lapid said.

"I supported Israel's insistence to prevent the Iranian strengthening, but I think that admitting we are the ones behind the attacks is complicating our relations with the Russians," Lapid conveyed. "Boasting out loud that we are the ones attacking is only damaging Israel, and I believe the Prime Minister couldn't resist because of the upcoming elections."
