Lapid on the bill to draft haredim: Change is not easy

Finance Miniser Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) spoke Monday on the current proceedings regarding the enlistment of yeshiva students from the haredi community.
Speaking at Yesh Atid's weekly faction meeting, Lapid said,  "I understand the anger among the haredim...Change is not easy. We all need to have the same rights but also the same responsibilities."
Lapid stated that when the bill is finally passed, haredim will see that they can leave the yeshiva, that they can work."
Lapid also spoke of the proposed changes in service length, stating that his party is responsible for proposing the shortening of men's enlistment time from 36 to 32 months.
