Lapid: Ulpana 'tragedy' is about 'rule of law'

Yesh Atid party leader Yair Lapid said that evacuation of the Ulpana is a "tragedy in which good Israelis, who are also good Zionists are being evacuated from their houses," on his Facebook page on Sunday in response to the controversy surrounding the evacuation of the illegal outpost near Beit El.
Lapid added, "But this isn't a debate between right and left (since neither is satisfied with the decision), rather one about the rule of law." "A democratic country's leaders sometimes need to stand by its institutions and tell the public, "Yes, I am going to sometimes carry out unpopular decisions," said Lapid.
The government announced on Sunday that is investigating the possibility of evacuating the Ulpana residents and their structures to another area in the vicinity of Beit El.
