Leader of illegal militant group arrested in Pakistan

The leader of the outlawed Sunni Muslim militant group Lashkar-e Jhangvi, Malik Ishaq, was arrested in Pakistan on Friday in his home, CNN reported.
Ishaq is believed to be behind a suicide bombing targeting Shiite Muslim at a marketplace on February 16 that left at least 89 people dead, the Pakistani police reported.
The bombing sparked protests throughout Pakistan calling on the police to punish the group and arrest the perpetrators.
Lashkar-e Jhangvi was outlawed in Pakistan in 2001, and was added to the US list of terror organizations in 2003.
