Liberman: No sign PA has stopped payments to Palestinian terrorists

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman denied on Wednesday reports that the Palestinian Authority has ceased to provide stipends to convicted terrorists in Israeli jails and family members of such prisoners.

"I have not seen any sign that the Palestinian Authority is stopping or intend to stop payments to terrorists or the families of terrorists,” Liberman told Kan Radio.

“We are following this closely, as least as of this moment, as I am speaking with you, I have not seen that they have stopped or that they intend to stop the payments,” he added.

Liberman's comments came the day after US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that he had understood that the PA had changed their policy on the matter and planned to halt such payments.
