Former Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman described the situation with Hamas as "absurd" during a tour of Sderot on Friday.
"Yesterday we all saw the absurd [situation] we found ourselves in," Liberman said. "The security services thwarted a West Bank Hamas terrorist cell, activated from the Gaza Strip, that planned on carrying out a significant attack within Israel." Liberman stated that under the circumstances, it's absurd that Israel allows Qatari petrol and money to enter Gaza.
"I intend to be with the residents of the South and open a Parliamentary chamber [there] in 10 days," he said, "I'll be in the South and in Sderot every week until we change our current direction."
