Light plane makes emergency landing at Ben Gurion Airport

A state of emergency was declared at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday when a light aircraft had to make a belly landing after its front wheel malfunctioned.
Nine crewmen and passengers were on board the flight that was making its way from Rosh Pina to Sde Dov Airport in Tel Aviv.
During the state of emergency, Israeli airspace over Ben Gurion Airport closed and two incoming international flights were directed to Cyprus for landing.
No harm was caused to the passengers, but the plane suffered extensive damage.
