Likud confirms Hazan's deposition

Likud MKs voted 16-9 to have MK Nava Boker be the party's representative to the Knesset Presidium, making her a deputy Knesset speaker.
The choice was between Boker and Hazan, who held the title for a year but never actually ran a plenum meeting, as Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein refused to give Hazan shifts following news reports that he was involved in pimping and drug dealing before becoming a lawmaker.
Boker was supposed to rotate the position with Likud MK Nurit Koren, who left the job as agreed without a fight, unlike Hazan, who insisted on a vote. After his loss, Hazan said the vote was rigged, blaming Edelstein and saying Likud voters will punish the Speaker.
