Likud Minister Katz questioned on suspicion of insider trading

Welfare Minister Haim Katz (Likud) was called in for questioning by the Securities Commission together with an associate, Mordechai Ben Arieh, on suspicion of insider trading, it was reported on Tuesday.
Ben Arieh, the financial consultant of Nitsba Holdings, bought shares in Nitsba prior to the publishing of a report about a merger between the company and Airport City. He allegedly passed the information on to Katz, who also allegedly used the insider information and bought shares in Nitsba.
The two are suspected of having earned some NIS 290,000 in profits by using the illegal information.
