Likud MK calls to annex West Bank after Kushner urged Israel to wait

"I call upon all my colleagues in the Knesset to join me in the bill I submitted this week, to apply Israeli sovereignty and access to Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley."

Likud Knesset Member Michal Shir urged her colleagues to support her bill to apply sovereignty to the West Bank and the Jordan Valley.
"I call upon all my colleagues in the Knesset to join me in the bill I submitted this week, to apply Israeli sovereignty and access to Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley," Shir said on Friday morning.
"There is no reason why such a just and legitimate thing, supported by the American administration, should not be anchored in legislation in the Israeli Knesset."
On Thursday, White House senior adviser Jared Kushner advised Israel to wait for Trump's peace plan before annexing the West Bank settlements.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had vowed in the waning days of a re-election campaign he won on April 9 to annex Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, in a move that would be bound to trigger condemnation from the Palestinians and the Arab world and complicate the U.S. peace effort.
The Palestinians want to establish a state in the West Bank, east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, all territory Israel captured in 1967.
