Likud: Vote New Right and Israel will have a left-wing government

Likud responded to Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked’s statement at the cabinet meeting on Sunday, saying any non-Likud vote will result in a “left-wing government.”

“Anyone who wants a right-wing government must vote for Likud,” the Likud said in a statement. “Voting for other parties will lead to the establishment of a left-wing government headed by Lapid, Gantz and Gabbay.”

Earlier on Sunday, Shaked said a right-wing government could only be led by New Right, her and Education Minister Naftali Bennett’s new religious-secular political party.

“The next government will be headed by Netanyahu, the question is whether there will be a government with the left – Gantz and Lapid or with the right – the New Right,” Shaked said earlier, Matan Kahana, New Right’s newest candidate, predicted success for the party in the upcoming elections.

"We are going to get 15 seats," Kahana said in an interview on Army Radio Sunday. "Unlike Likud, our party is the real ideological right."

Kahana is a former combat pilot and was commander of the F-16 squadron.
