The Health Ministry and Prime Minister's Office released a joint statement late Tuesday night, detailing the latest guidelines decided on during the coronavirus cabinet meeting earlier on Tuesday. 'The decision to ease restrictions and allow for a gradual exit from the lockdown will require a constant and certain decrease in morbidity rates, and reaching that will take a few days,' Health Ministry experts noted. The following decisions were reached accordingly: 1. Current lockdown restrictions will be extended until Sunday, October 18, at midnight. 2. Restrictions on flights abroad will be extended until Thursday, October 15. A special discussions will be held on Wednesday on this matter. 3. The coronavirus cabinet will meet again on Thursday and examine the initial outline for finishing the lockdown, according to morbidity rates. The meeting will include discussions regarding the opening of certain small businesses, kindergartens and allowing take-away services from restraints. 4. The specific steps and details of the outline will be released to the public after it is approved by the cabinet. 5. The cabinet approved an additional exception for lockdown restrictions including leaving home for a wedding of a close relative. 6. Professional athletes playing in major leagues will be allowed to resume training.
