Literature matriculation exam cancelled for Arab sector following exam leak

Director-General of the Education Ministry Michal Cohen issued an order Thursday afternoon to immediately cancel the matriculation exam in Arabic literature for the Arab student sector set to take place Thursday evening after a copy of the exam was leaked on social media.
Cohen said the leak presented a very serious problem and said she would continue to act to bring to justice those responsible. She filed an official complaint with Police Chief Manny Yitzhaki, head of investigations and intelligence, who announced he would immediately investigate the incident using the resources of the Lahav 433 cyber unit.
Cohen expressed hope that the authorities would find those who "flagrantly violated the binding procedures." Upholding the integrity of the exams was a top priority for the ministry and should serve as the guiding principle for the education system, she said.
A new date for the exam has yet to be scheduled.
