Magnitude 6.3 earthquake strikes near Kokopo, PNG

An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck 199 km east-southeast of Kokopo in Papua New Guinea early on Thursday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

The quake was at a depth of 13 km, EMSC said.
