A Jerusalem resident was arrested overnight Thursday on suspicion of strangling his infant child to death. The man's wife called police after having a fight with her husband and leaving the house. She told them she feared for her daughter. When policemen arrived at the scene, they found the child unconscious and with clear signs of strangulation. The young girl was evacuated to hospital but doctors were unable to save her. The man was arrested and taken for questioning.
