Man beats girlfriend to death in middle of Tel Aviv street

A man bludgeoned his partner to death in the middle of a south Tel Aviv street Monday morning, police said, before he was apprehended by bystanders.
According to Tel Aviv police, the an argument broke out between the man and his significant other on Chelnov street in south Tel Aviv near the corner of Matalon Street. While the two were fighting the man grabbed a large rock and struck the woman multiple times, causing her to lose consciousness.
Paramedics called to the scene pronounced the woman dead on the street not long after. Ronen Cohen, a Magen David Adom paramedic, said that after arriving at the scene "we found a woman around 29 years old lying unconscious on the street without a pulse and not breathing. She had a serious head wound and was bleeding from her upper body."
Cohen said the injuries were so severe paramedics had to pronounce her dead on the street, and did not attempt to take her to hospital.
