Man convicted of killing two young daughters sentenced to two life terms

The Beersheba District Court on Tuesday sentenced Ali Amtirat to two life terms in jail for murdering his two daughters, Asinad (4), and Rinas (2) in 2013, the Jerusalem Post's sister paper Maariv reported.
Amtirat, a resident of Kfar Al-Pura in the Negev, was convicted in August by the courts.
In 2013, the young girls' bodies were found lifeless with signs of bruising and of choking.
Amitrat was found a month and a half later, hiding in a cave by the Dead Sea.
Abir Dandis, mother of the two girls, said that "it's a shame there's no death sentence in Israel. If I were in a Muslim country, I'd demand that Amitrat be sentenced to death."
