A 44-year-old laborer from the Krayot died on Tuesday morning while clearing a sewer drainage system at the Vulcan Junction in Haifa’s Hutzon Hamifratz industrial zone. The man apparently collapsed into a 4-meter-deep pit. A crew of firemen extracted him and Magen David Adom medics administered first aid, but were eventually forced to pronounce his death.Investigators from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Labor launched a probe into the incident.
