Man drowns off of Ashkelon shoreline

A 70-year-old man drowned off the Ashkelon shoreline, Magen David Adom reported on Wednesday morning.
After pulling the man from the water, frenzied resuscitation efforts by paramedics failed, and they were forced to declare his death.
This drowning comes on the heels of a recent incident in which a father drowned after saving his two sons who were being pulled out to sea. He himself was then dragged out and died.
Authorities have encouraged sea-goers to practice caution when entering the water.
