Man killed in car explosion in south Tel Aviv

Initial reports say the driver was a 23-year-old from Ashkelon

A 23-year-old man from Ashkelon was killed early Wednesday morning after his car exploded according to reports from Magen David Adom.
According to initial police reports the explosion was suspected of coming from an explosive charge, but police are also looking into the possibility of a construction work accident.
The car was found on fire on Kibbutz Galuyot and Israel Gori streets in Tel Aviv. After firefighters were able to put out the blaze, MDA paramedics found the man lifeless in the car.
This is an active investigation.
