Man on vacation from France drowns at sea near Netanya beach

An Israeli man in his fifties on Saturday drowned between Herzl Beach and the Four Seasons in Netanya, Israel Radio reported.
According to the report, the Israeli lives in France and came to Israel for a summer vacation with his family.
A life-guard pulled the body from the water after it had been swept away by the strong current.
Last month a young man of 21 from Jenin in the West Bank drowned on the same beach in Netanya.
The municipality requested that bathers do not enter the water when no lifeguard is present.
