A 25-year-old man was critically wounded in a knife attack in the South of Israel early Monday morning, according to a statement released by Magen David Adom emergency medical services.
"We arrived at the scene and discovered a man who had been involved in a violent event at a banquet hall near Kanot junction," the statement said.
"We administered life saving medical support to the 25-year-old man who was in serious condition," added the statement.
Police believe the incident was criminal in nature and not related to terrorism.
Police have opened an investigation into the crime.
