Man suspected of murdering parents goes on hunger strike

Daniel Maoz, the 28-year-old lawyer accused of murdering his parents Nurit and Noah Maoz in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem last August, said he was embarking on a hunger strike this week.
Maoz is protesting the refusal of the Prison Services to allow him to visit his parents' graves, on Har Menuchot in Jerusalem.
The trial of Daniel Maoz, who accused his twin brother Nir of carrying out the murders, is still ongoing.
Daniel Maoz was arrested less than a month after the murders after police noticed a number of suspicious behaviors, including the night of the murders when Daniel showed up at a friend's apartment disheveled, nervous, and covered with splatters of blood.
