Man who allegedly killed Lee Zeitouni in hit-and-run charged in France

The man who allegedly struck and killed 25-year-old Lee Zeitouni in a Tel Aviv hit-and-run accident in September 2011 before fleeing to France was charged with aggravated manslaughter in a Paris court on Tuesday, AFP reported.
France refused to extradite the suspect, Eric Rubic, and his passenger in the car at the time of the accident, Claude Issac Hayat, to Israel, but has vowed to bring the men to trial in Paris.
Hayat was expected to face a judge in Paris on Thursday, according to AFP.
French police opened an investigation into the men in July 2012.
