Man who murdered Peace Now activist in grenade attack arrested for dispute with landlord

The man who murdered a Peace Now activist during a grenade attack on a peace rally in 1983 was arrested Monday on suspicion of harassing his landlord.
Yona Avrushmi was arrested on Monday a week after his landlord told police that he repeatedly caused tens of thousands of shekels in damage to an apartment unit next to his in the Hatikva neighborhood of Tel Aviv, in order to prevent her from renting it out. The vandalism was also linked to an ongoing legal dispute between the two, over Avrushmi's alleged illegal squatting in the apartment, Tel Aviv police said Monday.
Avrushmi was released in January 2011 after serving a 27-year-sentence for the grenade attack that killed activist Emil Grunzweig.
