Man who pulled Palestinian girl from well to receive citation

Scuba diving instructor and Magen David Adom paramedic Felix Lotan, who tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to save the life of a Palestinian girl who fell down a well northwest of Jerusalem on Sunday afternoon, will receive a citation on Monday from Magen David Adom Director-General Eli Bin. Firefighters called to the scene couldn't locate the five-year-old girl due to the darkness inside the well, and she was eventually pulled out, some 30 minutes after falling, by Lotan. She was evacuated in critical condition to Jerusalem's Shaare Tzedek Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
