Mayor, 3 others arrested on corruption charges

A mayor and three public employees in Israel were arrested on charges of bribery, fraud, breach of trust, aggravated fraud and money laundering. The mayor involved was reportedly formerly a minister in the government, according to Channel 12 news.
Nine others were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the suspected crimes as well.
Israel Police stated that the "complex and extensive investigation" was conducted alongside the Tel Aviv District Attorney Office (Taxation and Economics) and the Money Laundering and the Justice Ministry's Terrorist Financing Authority.
