Mazal Gibli, the beloved housekeeper for first Prime Minister David Ben Gurion and his wife Paula, passed away on Friday morning. She was head of household for the Ben Gurions for over 20 years.
Mazal managed all of Ben Gurion's estates, including his homes in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Sde Boker.
A spokesman for former President Shimon Peres said of Gibli, that she was "a quiet, modest woman who was dedicated to her work."
Working alongside Paula Ben Gurion, Pere's spokesman said Gibli cultivated "decades of love that knew no boundaries. People like Mazal do not always achieve recognition and respect from the public because their work is mostly behind the scenes."
