MDA calling for donations of O, RH-blood types

Magen David Adom on Sunday called urgently for individuals to donate O-type blood due to a “severe shortage.”

The shortage exists not only in O blood but also RH-blood of all types, MDA said.The campaign will be held at MDA stations and mobile blood-collection vans from Monday through Friday.

The shortage of O (universal donor) blood may force the cancellation of non-emergency operations and significant harm medical care, said the blood-supply, first aid and ambulance organization.
