MDA gives out thousands of Passover food parcels

With the weeklong Passover festival beginning on Monday evening, Magen David Adom is on high alert to cope with any emergencies that require first aid. Large numbers of people – Israelis and foreign tourists – are expected to visit recreation and nature areas throughout the holiday.
MDA is also prepared to collect blood to raise supplies that ordinarily drop because regular donors are on vacation. Call 1-800-400-101 for details.
The first aid, ambulance and blood-supply organization has completed its Kimha de’Pisha campaign to distribute tens of thousands of food packages to disadvantaged families. MDA teenage and adult volunteers and staffers joined the Orot Hahessed organization this year to provide the parcels. Contributors gave packaged food, including canned goods, sugar, matzot, haroset and other foods eaten during the Seder.
