Memorial for fallen soldier vandalized

For the second time in two months, the memorial to fallen soldier Stf.-Sgt. Oren Simcha Noah was vandalized.

When family members arrived at the site this morning, they discovered the wooden benches to be broken, with some thrown into the spring, and the sign talking about Noah's life broken on the ground.

The memorial is set up next to a spring in town of Alonim in northern Israel, where family, friends and travelers stop to remember Noah.

Chava Noah, the soldier's mother, said that she plans to file a complaint with police. She said that she is saddened that someone would choose to destroy a memorial of someone who gave their life for the sake of the country.
