Participants lit candles and held up pictures of Hattab alongside Tunisian flags. Some of those in attendance criticized their government's silence in the face of Hattab's death.
Hattab was killed on January 9 in an attack on the Hyper Cacher supermarket in Paris. He studied marketing in the city and worked in an office near the supermarket.
