Mentally ill Israeli held by Lebanese army returned after 3 days

A mentally ill Israeli man who was arrested by the Lebanese army after he crossed into Lebanon on Tuesday was returned to Israel overnight Thursday, the IDF Spokesperson's Office said. The 30-year-old Rishon Lezion resident, who apparently escaped from an Israeli mental institute, was transferred to police. The Spokesperson's Office commended UNIFIL's goodwill and effective work with the Lebanese army in enabling the man's return to Israel.
