Meretz leader blames PM for 'low point' in ties with US

Meretz leader Zehava Gal-On lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after a report in The Atlantic cited senior Obama administration officials calling the prime minister a coward.

She said the severe disrespect shown by the Obama administration proves how tired they are of him. She slammed Netanyahu for destroying the relationship with the Americans by pushing forward construction plans in east Jerusalem and refusing to reach an agreement with the Palestinians,

She pinned the blame for what she called the "lowest point" in ties with israel's most strategic ally directly on Netanyahu.
