Meridor: Variety of methods used to stop blockade breach

Israel is employing a variety of different methods to prevent a breach in the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip, rather than only using force, Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor told Israel Radio on Wednesday.
According to Meridor, Israel's enemies have added different forms of struggle to the classic armed conflict, such as using the media to sway world opinion.
"These activities, seemingly non-violent, aim to portray Israel as a violent entity against people of peace."
Meridor explained that Gaza is not under siege and is open to anyone who desires to bring supplies as long as they enter through the el-Arish or Ashdod ports.
The naval blockade does not prevent the transfer of aid or supplies, its only allows Israel to check the cargo and prevent the transfer of arms to the Gaza Strip, explained the deputy prime minister.
