Meron Reuben named new FM protocol chief

The Foreign Ministry this week appointed veteran diplomat Meron Reuben as its new chief of state protocol.
Reuben, who served in 2010-2011 as Israel's ambassador to the UN, also served as ambassador to Colombia, Paraguay and Bolivia. He will be replacing Talya Lador-Fresher, who wills serve as Israel's envoy to Austria
Among the responsibilities of the chief of protocol is to be the interface between the ministry and foreign diplomas regarding their rights and living conditions in Isabelle, coordinating official visits by foreign dignitaries, and meeting and greeting them when they arrive.
The South African-born Reuben is scheduled to start his new position in mid-summer.
