Intelligence Minister reiterates importance of Shin Bet's surveillance

Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen referred to Shin Bet's surveillance measures on Monday and emphasized their importance in helping combat the spread of coronavirus.

Cohen said, "Those who were still doubtful are not anymore. Shin Bet's surveillance is saving lives, preventing a lockdown and helping us bring down the curve. Those who oppose surveillance will have to accept the responsibility for the deaths of many citizens and for the worsening economic situation, which is bad as it is."
