Ministerial committee passes life without pardon bill

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation voted to pass a bill seeking to allow courts to sentence murderers to life in prison without pardon.
Economy Minister Naftali Bennett welcomed the new bill, saying that "Israel turned over a new leaf today regarding the war on terror and its moral obligation to bereaved families."
He thanked the voting ministers for their support, and said that "Bayit Yehudi will work to pass the law quickly and without delay in the upcoming Knesset session."
