Ministers approve bill to block online porn unless users opt out

A bill requiring Internet service providers to block pornographic content automatically, unless consumers opt out, was approved by the Ministerial Committee for Legislation Sunday.
MK Shuli Moalem-Refaeli (Bayit Yehudi), who proposed the bill along with MK Miki Zohar (Likud), said that that today it is “easier for children to consume difficult content online than to buy a popsicle at the neighborhood kiosk. Therefore, we must prevent the ease of access to these materials.” MKs from nine of the Knesset’s 10 factions signed the bill.
