Ministry of Environmental Protection warns about potential malaria

The Ministry of Environmental Protection called on local authorities to increase actions to reduce mosquito health hazards, in light of the identification of mosquitoes infected with malaria in the western Nile at various locations around the country.

The infected mosquitoes were found in tests carried out over the past two weeks by the Pesticides and Urban Pest Control in the Ministry of Environmental Protection, in collaboration with Ministry of Health employees, in many places in Israel, including Caesarea, Pardes Hanna, Binyamina, Menashe, MA Mateh Yehuda, MA Carrot, Mazkeret Batya and other authorities.
