MK David Bitan hospitalized in ICU due to coronavirus infection

About 30 people were forced to enter quarantine after coming into contact with him.

MK David Bitan was hospitalized in intensive care on Sunday after he was confirmed as infected with the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, according to Israeli media.
Bitan's family clarified that he was treated at home in the past week, but was hospitalized after a drop in his blood oxygen level was recorded. He has not shown any signs of distress. The family thanked the public and close friends for their concern.
About 30 people were forced to enter quarantine after coming into contact with Bitan.
"A man with a huge heart and a good soul: There are not many like him in politics," tweeted Aliyah and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata on Sunday. "I pray for his complete healing and hope that all the good things he did as chairman of the Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Committee for new immigrants will stand to his credit."
