MK Ghattas undergoes emergency heart catheterization

MK Bassel Ghattas (Balad) was rushed to the hospital in Nazareth Monday and underwent an emergency cardiac catheterization. He was found to be healthy.

"They didn't find anything major, but with my age and the pace of my work, I need to be careful," he told Army Radio Tuesday morning.

Ghattas joked that his heart troubles came from the stress of forming the Joint Arab List, but that his arteries were strong enough to survive.

The Balad MK remained in the cardiac wing to rest after the procedure, because there were no rooms for him, due to hospital overcrowding.
