MK Regev to visit Temple Mount, asks why Jews are barred

MK Miri Regev (Likud) who was appointed Wednesday to head the Knesset Interior and Environmental Affairs Committee of the Knesset said she intended to tour the Temple Mount with the committee to examine the possibility of Jewish prayer at the site.
In a statement to the press Regev questioned why Jews were not permitted to pray at the site. In reference to the Women of the Wall protests at the Western Wall involving the right of women to pray there freely, Regev also said that she would work towards bringing order to prayer to the site.
